2nd CIS Games emblems registered as trademark

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – The National Center for Intellectual Property has registered a trademark representing the mascot, logo and slogan of the upcoming 2nd CIS Games which are to be held in Belarus in August 2023, BelTA learned from the center.

The state organization Belsportobespecheniye is the owner of the trademark. The organization, together with the Sport and Tourism Ministry, holds annually some 700 sport events, including those of international level. “The emblems of a sporting event is an integral part of promoting sporting events, and also a resource to attract additional sources of profit,” the center added.

Earlier, the National Center for Intellectual Property registered the emblems of the 2014 IIHF World Championship and the 2019 Second European Games, hosted by Minsk, as trademarks.
