MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 86 Ilya Ivashka was off to a good start in the Geneva Open, defeating world number 421 Guido Pella of Argentina, 6-4, 7-5, BelTA has learned.
Ilya Ivashka will next face France’s world number 47 Adrian Mannarino.
The tournament in Geneva will be over on 27 May. After that tennis players will gather in Paris for the Grand Slam’s second event of the season, French Open, which his due to take place on 28 May-11 June.
