MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – Belarusian wrestlers took part in the Imre Polyak and Janos Varga Memorial 2024 wrestling tournament in Budapest, Hungary, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian men’s team comprised Paris Olympic qualifiers Aryan Tsiutryn, Aliaksandr Hushtyn and Dzianis Khramiankou.
Aryan Tsiutryn (57kg) defeated Darian Cruz of Puerto Rico in the quarterfinal but then lost to Aman Sehrawat of India. In the bronze-medal bout Aryan Tsiutryn beat Roberti Dingashvili of Georgia 10-0.
The other two Belarusian wrestlers were out of the tournament in the opening bouts. Aliaksandr Hushtyn (97kg) lost to Slovakia’s Batyrbek Tsakulov, while Dzianis Khramiankou (125kg) – to Geno Petriashvili of Georgia.
The Bupadest wrestling ranking series 2024 will be over on 9 June.
