MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes are taking part in the 62nd edition of the Grand Moscow Regatta at the rowing course in Krylatskoye in the Russian capital, BelTA has learned.
International competitions will be held in different age categories. Among the participants there are many famous rowers, including Olympic medalist Elena Oriabinskaia, European champions and winners of world championships Ekaterina Sevostianova and Anastasia Tikhanova.
More than 1,300 athletes from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Iran and Armenia are taking part in the event. This time the Grand Moscow Regatta is marking the 85th anniversary of three-time Olympic champion Vyacheslav Ivanov.
