Polina Sivets clinches silver in mass start at Children of Asia Games

MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Belarusian speed skater Polina Sivets won another medal at the ongoing 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Games, BelTA has learned.

Captain of the Belarusian team Polina Sivets finished second in the women’s mass start behind Kazakhstan’s Varvara Glukhova. Evelina Konoplyanik of Belarus came in fourth.

Earlier, Polina Sivets won gold in the 3,000m and silver in the 1,500m.

Belarus has so far won nine (one gold, four silver, and four bronze) medals at the second edition of the Children of Asia Games. The games program will be over on 4 March. The Belarusian team comprises 68 athletes competing in eight sports. Taking part in the games are over 850 athletes from 12 countries.
