MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number two Aryna Sabalenka came from a set and a break down to defeat world number 31 Paula Badosa of Spain, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 and reach the Stuttgart Open semifinals, BelTA has learned.
Sabalenka defeated world number 12 Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic, 6-2, 6-3, in the quarterfinal. The Belarusian will next face either world number 5 Caroline Garcia of France or Russia’s world number 24 Anastasia Potapova.
The tournament in Stuttgart will be over on 23 April.
