MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 2 Aryna Sabalenka reached the Indian Wells semifinal cruising past world number 6 Coco Gauff of the United States, 6-4, 6-0 in the quarterfinal, BelTA has learned.
Earlier, the Belarusian saw off Russia’s world number 427 Evgeniya Rodina, moved past Ukraine’s world number 95 Lesia Tsurenko, and downed world number 16 Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic. Aryna Sabalenka will next face world number 7 Maria Sakkari of Greece.
The BNP Paribas Open, which is also known as the Indian Wells Masters, is held from 8 to 19 March 2023.
