MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – The 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Games are nearing completion in Kuzbass, BelTA has learned.
The team sprint events took place at the Kuzbass Ice Arena in Kemerovo on Friday. The Belarusian men’s team comprising Roman Chernyavsky, Fyodor Danilov and Radomir Minin finished third behind the teams from the Siberian Federal District and Kazakhstan. The Belarusian women’s team of Polina Sivets, Evelina Konoplyanik and Diminika Kukharchik came in fourth, a little more than one second behind the third-place finishers.
Belarus has so far won eight (one gold, three silver, and four bronze) medals at the second edition of the Children of Asia Games. The Belarusian team comprises 68 athletes competing in eight sports. Taking part in the games are over 850 athletes from 12 countries.
