MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – Pavel Khadasevich of Belarus secured a champion title at the weightlifting tournament of the 2nd CIS Games in Belarus, BelTA has learned.
The 2018 world silver medalist lifted a total of 375kg (170kg+205kg) to take the men’s 96kg gold. Silver went to Russia’s Georgy Kesaev with 371kg (166kg+197kg). Sunnatill Usarov from Uzbekistan placed third with 368kg (171kg+197kg).
Earlier, Petr Asayonak of Belarus clinched gold in the men’s 89kg weightlifting event. Margarita Leshchenko claimed silver, Darya Kheider and Yulian Kurlovich secured bronze medals.
