Belarus names 14 athletes for European Boxing Championships in Belgrade

MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – The EUBC Elite Men and Women European Boxing Championships are kicking off in Belgrade, Serbia, BelTA has learned.

Competing in the event will be over 400 athletes from 33 countries. Belarus has fielded 14 athletes – eight men and six women. Team Belarus comprises Dzianis Salotskikh (54kg), Maksim Pankou (57kg), Artur Tuniyeu (60kg), Vadzim Vauchok (63.5kg), Aliaksandr Radzionau (71kg), Kiryl Samadurau (75kg), Aliaksei Alfiorau (86kg), Uladzislau Smyahlikau (92kg), Yana Burym (50kg), Yuliya Apanasovich (52kg), Ala Ivashkevich (60kg), Aryna Danilchyk (70kg), Alina Veber (75kg), and Victoriya Kebikava (81kg).

Men will compete in 13 medal events, women – in 12. Preliminary bouts will take place on 18-23 April. Quarterfinals are scheduled for 24-25 April, with semifinals and finals due on 27-28 April.
