MINSK, 7 August (BelTA) – The weightlifting tournament is underway at the 2nd CIS Games in Belarus, BelTA has learned.
On 7 August, Suzanna Volodko of Belarus won silver in the women’s 71kg event with the total lift of 234kg (104kg+130kg). The champion title went to Russia’s Zarina Gusalova with her total lift of 237kg (108kg+129kkg). Bronze was picked up by Cuba’s Yeniuska Mirabal (217kg – 96kg+121kg). This became the first medal for Cuba at the 2nd CIS Games.
