Belarus’ 3×3 basketball team to show their best at 2nd CIS Games

MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ 3×3 basketball teams will do their best to win at the 2nd CIS Games in Minsk, Secretary General of the Belarusian Basketball Federation Anastasia Marinina told BelTA.

The tournament will feature players under 20 years old. The expanded Belarusian team will include the bronze medalists of the European Cup 2021 and the bronze medalists of the World Cup 2021. The girls’ team may feature representatives of BC Minsk 2006, BC Horizont, BC Prinemanie Grodno and the Olympic Reserve College. The boys’ team will comprise athletes of BC Minsk 2006. The final rosters for girls and boys will feature four best players each. The coaching staff of the national teams include Dmitry Koltunov and Aleksei Lashkevich, and Andrei Navoychik and Valentina Navoychik.

According to Anastasia Marinina, the final squads will be named ahead of the competitions. The fully-fledged preparations for the Games will kick off in June. The National Universiade at the Palova Arena on 10-11 June will serve as a rehearsal. Palova Arena will be the venue to host the CIS Basketball 3×3 Games tournament on 12-13 August.
