Belarus claim first medal at Children of Asia Games

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Belarus won its first medal at the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Games, BelTA has learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

Belarus claimed its first medal in short track. Matvey Maner, Daniil Bychkov, Darya Stepanova and Kseniya Lukashevich took silver finishing behind the quarter from Moscow in the 3,000m mixed relay. Bronze went to the team from the Siberian Federal District.

The 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Games are taking place in Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Mezhdurechensk and Tashtagolsky Municipal District. The games will feature 57 medal events in ten sports. The Belarusian team comprises 68 athletes competing in eight sports. Taking part in the games are 865 athletes from 13 countries.
