Istanbul to host 4th European Games in 2027

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – The European Olympic Committees (EOC) Executive Committee have unanimously awarded the 4th edition of the European Games, due in 2027, to Istanbul at its recent meeting, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

 

The Executive Committee’s decision will be presented to the EOC General Assembly in Bucharest on 6-7 June, for final approval and signing of the relevant contracts.

The 1st European Games were held in Baku in 2015. Minsk hosted the second edition in 2019. Krakow played host to the Games in 2023.
