Belarus’ Egor Gerasimov advances to Challenger Shenzhen round two

MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 503 Egor Gerasimov has advanced to the Challenger Shenzhen round two, defeating world number 200 Li Tu of Australia, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian will next face France’s world number 148 Terence Atmane. Egor Gerasimov reached the main draw beating world number 407 Fajing Sun of China, 6-3, 6-4, and world number 780 Linang Xiao of China, 6-4, 6-2, in the qualifying.

Belarus’ world number 89 Aliaksandra Sasnovich will take on Brazil’s world number 20 Beatriz Haddad Maia in the Hong Kong Open. In the doubles event Aliaksandra Sasnovich will pair with Georgia’s Oksana Kalashnikova, while Belarus’ Lidziya Marozava will play in tandem with Poland’s Katarzyna Piter.

The tournaments in Shenzhen and Hong Kong will be over on 15 October.
