Belarus’ NOC president, Kalmykia head discuss 2nd CIS Games

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko met with Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, Head of the Russian Kickboxing Federation Batu Khasikov in Minsk on 21 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the NOC of Belarus.

The parties discussed the expansion of cooperation and work on holding joint tournaments, training camps of Belarusian and Russian athletes, as well as cooperation with international sports organizations. Batu Khasikov thanked Viktor Lukashenko for the opportunity to get familiar with the sports potential of the country and expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation, including the use of Belarusian experience in building sports facilities.

The parties also discussed preparations for the 2nd CIS Games in Belarus in August 2023 and the participation of Russian athletes in the event.
