MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ Pavel Khadasevich won gold at the Weightlifting Grand Prix in Havana, Cuba, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian claimed the champion title in the men’s 96kg category by a wide margin with the best attempt of 373kg (170kg+203kg). Silver went to Jose Lopez from Mexico (151-190-341), and Brandon Vautard from France was third on 140-196-336.
Earlier, gold medals in Cuba were claimed by Belarus’ Dziyana Maiseyevich and Petr Asayonak. Alina Shchepanova and Andrey Frolov collected bronze medals.
