MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 102 Aliaksandra Sasnovich scored her first win at the Guadalajara Open beating world number 47 Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands, 6-1, 7-6 (7-5), BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian will next face world number 11 Caroline Garcia of France.
Belarus’ world number 23 Victoria Azarenka will open against world number 144 Robin Montgomery of the United States, Belarus’ world number 159 Iryna Shymanovich will take on world number 151 Storm Hunter of Australia.
The tournament in Guadalajara will be over on 23 September.
