Belarusian wrestler Uladzislau Kazlou to compete for U20 world bronze

MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – Uladzislau Kazlou of Belarus will compete for bronze at the U20 World Wrestling Championships in Amman, Jordan, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian (97kg) defeated Russia’s Islam Kilchukov 5-1 in the round of Last 16, whitewashed Florin Tripon of Romania 10-0 in the quarterfinal and lost to Ukraine’s Ivan Prymachenko in the semifinal. The Ukrainian athlete will face Iran’s Abolfazl Babaloo in the final. Uladzislau Kazlou’s opponent in the bronze medal bout will be known after the repechage. Last week Uladzislau Kazlou won silver of the 2nd CIS Games.

The competitions in the capital of Jordan will be over on 20 August.
