KHL: Dinamo Minsk hands second defeat to HC Sochi within two days

MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk scored six goals in the HC Sochi net on 10 November to claim the second victory over the visitors within the past two days in the KHL regular season, BelTA has learned.

The match on 9 November ended with the Bisons edging HC Sochi 2-1.

The second match proved more resultative. The Bisons opened the scoring through Vyacheslav Osnovin 13 minutes into the game. Late in the opening period Yegor Borikov made it 2-0.

Nick Merkley and Sam Anas extended Dinamo’s advantage to 4-0 in the middle stanza. The visitors managed to quickly reduce the gap to 2-4. Sam Anas scored his second of the night at the end of the second period.

Yegor Ignatenko scored the Bisons’ sixth goal in the final period.

With 32 points in total, Dmitry Kvartalnov’s team go 5th in the KHL’s Western Conference. The Bisons will be back in action on 12 November as they continue their home series against Dynamo Moscow who share the leadership with Spartak in the West. CSKA and Severstal trail two points behind the Bisons.
