MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – Participants and guests of the 2nd CIS Games are arriving in high spirits in Belarus, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev told reporters, BelTA has learned.
A joint meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State-Run and Public Television and Radio Companies and the CIS Administrative Council of the Interstate Information Pool is taking place in Minsk on 4 August.

According to Sergei Lebedev, it is important to counter the information aggression by the West with objective coverage of the life in the CIS countries. “There are a lot of good things in the CIS countries. There are achievements in science and culture. Right now, we are holding the 2nd CIS Games in Belarus. Hundreds of young people have come in high spirits here, the weather is beautiful today in Belarus, and we very much hope that this weather will remain in place during the Games,” Sergei Lebedev said.
“But the most important thing is a good mood in the hearts of people. This is very important. What citizens of the CIS countries see on their TV screens or hear on the radio influence their mood. A positive mood is key to achievements in science and culture. And, most importantly, people will feel happier,” Sergei Lebedev added.
