MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) – Pakistani athletes will take part in the 2nd CIS Games which will be held in Belarus from 4 to 14 August, Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa told the media, BelTA has learned.
“We are looking forward to welcome a Pakistani delegation at the CIS Games. Let’s see how the Pakistani athletes perform,” Ambassador Andrei Metelitsa said.
On 13 July, the Belarusian diplomat met with Federal Minister of Inter Provincial Coordination Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari of Pakistan. One of the topics of the meeting was the Belarusian-Pakistani relations in sport. “Special attention is paid to the participation of sports teams of Pakistan and other countries in the 2nd CIS Games to be held in the Republic of Belarus,” the embassy said.
