Sasnovich loses in 2024 Indian Wells qualifying

MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus failed to reach the 2024 Indian Wells main draw, losing to world number 286 Liv Hovde of the United States, 2-6, 4-6, BelTA has learned.

Two Belarusian tennis players will compete in the event’s main draw. These are world number 2 Aryna Sabalenka and world number 30 Victoria Azarenka who is Indian Wells two-time winner (2012, 2016). Competing in the event will be all world’s best tennis players, including world number one Iga Swiatek and last season’s champion Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan.

The main draw will be held on 6-17 March.
