MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 71 Aliaksandra Sasnovich cruised past Italy’s world number 111 Lucrezia Stefanini, 6-0, 6-3, to reach the Libema Open second round in s’Hertogenbosch, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian will next face Belgium’s world number 120 Greet Minnen for a spot in the quarterfinal.
Earlier, world number 19 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus defeated world number 231 Natalija Stevanovic of Serbia, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2, in the opener. The Belarusian will next play world number 152 Ashlyn Krueger of the United States.
In the men’s opener Belarus’ world number 87 Ilya Ivashka will take on world number 68 Mackenzie McDonald of the United States.
The grass-court event in s’Hertogenbosch will be over on 18 June.
