MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – Petr Asayonak of Belarus clinched gold in the men’s 89kg weightlifting event of the 2nd CIS Games on 8 August, BelTA has learned.
The two-time European bronze medalist lifted a total of 362kg (165kg+197kg). Russia’s Roman Chepik placed second with a total of 361kg (166kg+195kg). Bronze went to Belarus’ Yulian Kurlovich – 355kg (160kg+195kg).
