MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number two Aryna Sabalenka failed to make it into the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships semifinal losing to world number 30 Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic, 6-0, 6-7 (2-7), 1-6, on Thursday, BelTA has learned.
Krejcikova will next face world number 3 Jessica Pegula of the United States.
Earlier, Aryna Sabalenka saw off world number 20 Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia, 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 and took a solid win over world number 49 Lauren Davis of the United States, 6-0, 6-1.
The tournament in Dubai will be over on 25 February.
