SEHA-Gazprom League 2022-2023: HC SKA Minsk defeat HC CSKA

MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – The opening match of the SEHA-Gazprom League East Division quarterfinal took place on Thursday, BelTA has learned.

HC SKA Minsk proved stronger over HC CSKA 30-26 at Uruchye sports center in the Belarusian capital. On Saturday, 25 February, HC Masheka will play HC Chekhovskie Medvedi in Mogilev. HC Gomel will face HC Meshkov Brest on 26 February. HC Zenit will take on HC Permskie Medvedi in St Petersburg on 27 February. Return matches are scheduled for 28 February-5 March.

The preliminary stage in South Division will be over in late March. Group A comprises HC Eurofarm Pelister (North Macedonia), HC Nexe (Croatia), and HC Vojvodina (Serbia). Group B includes HC Partizan (Serbia), HC Vardar 1961 (North Macedonia), HC Tatran Presov (Slovakia). The best teams of the previous season – HC Telekom Veszprem and HC PPD Zagreb – will start this year’s campaign from the quarterfinal stage.

Last season HC Telekom Veszprem beat HC PPD Zagreb 32-30 in the final. HC Eurofarm Pelister secured bronze defeating HC Nexe 27-23.
