Belarusian regions gear up for 2nd CIS Games

MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – Active preparations are underway in Minsk Oblast for the 2nd CIS Games. Cities are being decorated with symbols of the landmark international tournament, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk regional administration.

For example, the city of Molodechno, one of the venues of the 2nd CIS Games, are putting up thematic across-the-street banners, boards and life-size figurines of the Rysia the Lynx, the mascot of the Games.

The sporting event of the year will be held in Belarus from 4 to 14 August. Minsk Oblast will host the wrestling tournament (the tennis arena of the Shakhter sports complex in Soligorsk) and a beach volleyball tournament (Victory Park in Molodechno).
